WHY TEST FOR MOLD?
-
We understand that some molds release toxins that have been associated with severe asthma attacks, respiratory issues, and a wide range of other extremely serious illnesses. You are more likely to experience negative effects in moldy environments if you are prone to mold allergies or have other health problems.
-
Regarding your house: Mold can break down material. Mold has the power to ruin anything it comes into contact with over time, including your house and personal items.
WHAT DO WE DO?
During this visual inspection, we search the property for mold growth and the environmental factors that contribute to it. To grow, mold needs moisture. In order to find moisture intrusion, the inspector will use an infrared camera to scan the interior of the house. If mold is discovered in an area smaller than 10 square feet, we can run an air quality test. Here, we gather a variety of air samples and/or swab samples, which are then forwarded to a licensed testing facility for additional analysis. Within 24/48 hours, the lab will send you a thorough report outlining whether there is mold in the air, what kind it is, and whether it is dangerous at present level.
